I’m Julie, creator of Travel and Tinsel! I love adventures from hiking in Colorado or Switzerland, to exploring new cities, navigating new cultures, and experiencing the magic of the holiday markets and celebrations.
I enjoy sharing those experiences with others to help them plan their own trips.
I have lived in Kansas City for the past 27 years. I started traveling the world at 16 with my first trip to Spain! Since then, I have traveled to Spain many times, as well as 16+ other countries and many US states. I do work a full-time job, so my travels are short enough to pack into those PTO days. As an avid tea and coffee lover, I try to visit different tea and coffee related locations in my travels so you will see these places show up often on my posts. I believe sharing a cup of coffee or tea with a friend, or even on your own, is one of the best ways to spend time connecting.
I also chase waterfalls anytime I can! I will share my favorites and how easy or hard they are to reach. The one below is Rifle Falls in Colorado and is super easy to reach – a 2-minute walk from the parking lot.
