Breakfast is hands-down my favorite meal to eat out. As someone who’s lived in Kansas City for over two decades, I’ve made it my mission to find the best brunch spots around town. Sometimes I’m grabbing a chocolate croissant from McLain’s, other days I’m meeting friends for pancakes at Homegrown or tracking down the city’s best crepes. To me, brunch is more than a meal.

Kansas City has a surprisingly rich brunch scene. There’s something here for every kind of brunch lover.

In this guide, I’ll take you through my favorite spots across the metro, organized by neighborhood. You’ll find full-service favorites, counter-service cafés, helpful notes on what to order, where to get mimosas, and which bakeries are worth the stop.

Let’s dig in.🍽️

What Makes Kansas City Brunch Unique
